Made its world premiere at the 19th Moscow International Boat Show, was launched at the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda of Porto Cervo, officially debuted at the 34th Festival de la Plaisance in Cannes, and landed at the 51th Genoa International Boat Show: Gari 70, the first high-tech luxury yacht by GariMarine was a hit with critics and audiences alike. This is because of its very attractive appearance and excellent performances coming from the latest technology. In fact, GariMarine comes from Alessandro Ghidini and Paolo Lo Bianco’s desire to create a company capable of offering distinctive and instantly recognisable products to the nautical sector with state-of-the-art design and technology. The Gari 70 is a unique coupé-convertible boat that boasts perfect aesthetic balance, luxury finishes and a wealth of refined details to excite even the most discerning owner.
EXTERIORS
The hull, deck and superstructure are made with pre-preg technology in epoxy resin reinforced with fibreglass and carbon. The structures are entirely made in sandwich composites with core cell vacuum compacted at 90°. As mentioned, design and technology are its strong points: the sleek, aerodynamic lines give the 70-foot boat an elegantly aggressive style, worthy of a custom-built model with the unmistakable Made in Italy quality. Of the numerous innovations, one particular feature stands out: the command bridge is equipped with a special patented mechanism that allows lifting it by about eighty centimetres. This enables the pilot to drive it as a coupe, (i.e. inside the boat), or as a convertible (i.e. partly outside the hard top), for enjoying a better panoramic view and the wind.
INTERIORS
Refined minimalist elegance. This is how the interior of the Gari 70 can be described, essential but comfortable, functional and ergonomic with a linear shape.
Depending on the owner’s needs, the layout comes in two different solutions, one with three cabins and one with four. In the first version, the master cabin is aft and features a vaulted ceiling with a contemporary style that makes maximum use of the full beam. In the second version, the surface is reduced to make room for a fourth cabin. A double guest cabin and VIP cabin, both with private bathroom, are respectively at the bow and amidships.
ENGINES
The impressions of navigation during sea tests also exceeded all expectations, where the motor yacht reached a top speed of 50 knots. However, that’s not all. At a cruising speed of 38 knots and 1,850 RPM, the Gary 70 glided smoothly over the waves, with fuel consumption among the lowest in its class. The design of the hull offers exceptional performance and seaworthiness.
With the more powerful engines, i.e. two MTU of 1820 hp, the maximum speed climbs to 55 knots and the cruising speed to 44 knots.
